Meet the founder

From Switzerland to the North

I’m Anja, the woman behind Finnomenal. I came to Lapland for adventure and stayed for something deeper. Now I create small, meaningful experiences shaped by nature, stories, and human connection in Ylläs.

Moi, I’m Anja

Originally from Switzerland, I followed a dream north and traded office walls for open skies. Somewhere between the fells of Ylläs, crackling fires, and snow that sings beneath your boots, I found home.

What began as a blog called Finnomenal slowly became something more: a way to share Lapland beyond clichés, crowds, and checklist tourism.

Today, I create private and small-group experiences for curious minds and wild souls. Thoughtful journeys rooted in local life, nature, and the kind of moments that cannot be mass-produced. No herds. Just heart.

About Finnomenal

Finnomenal was born from a simple belief: Lapland deserves to be experienced with more depth, less rush, and more heart. Not through crowds or checklists, but through small moments, local stories, time outdoors, and space to truly connect with the North.

Expect private experiences, small groups, and journeys shaped with care. Real encounters instead of rehearsed tourism. Time to breathe, ask questions, taste local flavours, and notice the details many travelers miss.

Maybe Lapland will steal a piece of your heart too

No herds. Just heart.
